Job description

The Editorial team is essential for the production of our shows. Working hand in hand with our production team, the VFX Editor is responsible for handling all editorial tasks required by a show.

While the project is being worked on, the VFX editor creates a workflow that allows the VFX supervisor to evaluate the VFX artists' work and provide feedback on the aesthetic and on the technical direction. As the client approves shots or versions, the VFX editor incorporates them into the current cut (edit) and oversees the passing of work back to the team that is editing the film.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the director to create the VFX blueprint of the video

  • Work closely with producers to manage all incoming media and outgoing deliverables

  • Incorporating and updating all required versions of visual effects shots into the current cuts of the VFX / live action sequences

  • Perform short specific color corrections to match editorial references when required

  • Ensuring shadows, camera reflections etc. are edited out of the final film

  • Work in partnership with other members of the team to ensure shots are delivered to the very highest standards while maintaining schedules

Key Requirements

  • You have solid prior experience as a Visual Effects Editor and a strong portfolio of sample projects

  • You possess sound technical knowledge of 3D animation, motion graphics and VFX

  • You have strong expertise in editing software such as Premiere pro, After Effect, Photoshop and Final Cut Pro

  • You are organized and with a high attention to detail

  • You can deliver high-quality work while meeting tight deadlines
